Name in High School:
Colleen Kennedy
Name Now:
Colleen Kennedy
E-mail:

Status:
My partner Burton Johnson and I have been together for 4 years now
Kids:
None
Where I'm Living:
Tucson, Arizona (about 1 hour drive to Mexico)
How I spend My Days:
I design pumps used in mines. Most of my time is spent making 3D
models on the computer and working on new pump designs. Also chasing
scorpians and spiders out of the house (just kidding).
Hobbies and Interests:
I really enjoy old-fashioned things like knitting, quilting, making
jam and pickles. I continue to play table tennis and I was a volunteer
at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. Burton and I visit his parents
on the California coast in the winter.
Last 20 Years in a Nutshell:
I studied manufacturing engineering and graduated from Boston Univ.
in 1988. After moving back to Minneapolis, I started work at a small
machine shop. I did eng. design for Caterpillar at RFA/MN Eng. in
Eden Praire for 5-1/2 years. I moved to Tucson in 1999 and had all
the seasons switched on me! We stay inside during summer and go
outside the other three seasons. I met Burton in 2000. He grew up
in Tucson and doesn't understand winter as we know it. I love living
here and am excited to see everyone again in October.
High School Memories:
- Working on plays, art projects, physics (bus) homework, learning
to write a research paper.
- German skits, the ill-fitting headphones in the language lab,
Toblerone candy.
- Realizing I can't sing. It took 7th & 8th grade choir to find
out.
- The changing seasons along the Mississippi river.
- Half of all clothes I owned wear Red & White.
